Internet Explorer

These instructions referes to the italian version of Internet Explorer for Windows 7.
With few changes they are probably correct also for other versions and different operating systems

 

  1. Activate the section "Preferences" or "Internet Options" from "Edit" or "Strumenti" menu;.
    It will appare the window shown in the below picture.
    Then select "Connection Settings" (or equivalent).

  2. Detect used connection through you want to surf (one of "Remote Connections and VPN" (or equivalent), then click on "LAN Settings".
    It will open the window shown in the next picture and there you must activate the checkbox "Use automatic configuration script".
    Then insert the URL (not all shown in the picture):
    http://proxy.math.unipd.it/proxy.pac

  3. After confirmation, clicking on "Ok" (or equivalent), configuration is done.
